Filipino communities based in the United Arab Emirates showed their support for the 10th Philippine Property and Investment Exhibition at The Bristol Hotel in Deira, Dubai on May 11 and 12, 2024. Their participation included an MoU signing with professional and business groups, as well as booth activations, and having a segment on the program.
27 groups signs MoU with NPM Group
The #investPilipinas #investPPIE campaign brought along 27 Filipino business and professional organizations signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PPIE organizer, New Perspective Media (NPM) Group, through its Filipino publication, The Filipino Times, the largest Filipino media outside the Philippines.

BOOTH ACTIVATIONS AND SEGMENTS FOR FILIPINO COMMUNITIES
The Philippines Partnerships Circle, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Bayanihan Council Abu Dhabi, Philippine Business Council – Dubai & Northern Emirates; and Filipino Social Club – Dubai also set-up booths and some took part in the summit where they shared valuable insights to their fellow Overseas Filipinos.
The 10th PPIE also provided a platform for these organizations to conduct panel discussions and other related activities.
The Philippines Partnership Circle featured two panel discussions, including a fireside chat and a keynote session.
The first panel discussion tackled the topic “Love Philippines: A foreign-friendly investment destination” led by Mme. Marlene Murphy, Philippines Partnership Circle’s President as well as Fintech, Private Equity Investment; Lady Elizabeth Kelly, the President of Lady Elizabeth Kelly & Co.; Dr. Raphael Nagel, the Executive Chairman of the Tactical Management and The Abrahamic Business Circle; Dr. Munir Ahmad Ch., Group CEO of the Royal Family Office of HH Sheikh Abdulhakim Al Maktoum; and Mohammad Jaber, the Co-Founder of Elas.
The second panel discussion was a keynote presentation on “Revolutionizing Traditional Economies for the Future” by Gustavo A. Montero, the Founder and Chairman of Carter Capital.
There was also a FilComm Hour where the panelists discussed OFW Mother’s Thriving and Success Stories in the UAE by Emma Gerel of Bergem Trading, Grace “Yurie” Moore of Luxuristcbm, Grace Power Systeme Event and Mrs. Universe Philippines FDN-Middle East.
The chairman of the PBC-DNE, Edwin Duria, the CEO & Founder of Play Middle East Business Consultancy, alongside Board of Directors Mariben Christine Tan Eustaquio, Founder & Managing Director of EZONE Business Setup; and Atty. Rowena Aggabao, a Managing Partner and Co-Owner of A&R Partners Ltd., A&R Integrated Farm, and AMMA Consultancy also tackled “Insights for Overseas Filipinos in Setting Up Business in UAE!”
Meanwhile, discussing “Pinoy Flavah: Insights from League of Food & Beverage Enterprises (LFBE-DNE) in kickstarting your F&B business in the UAE,” were Evangeline Monjardin (Managing, Desert Wok Restaurant), Robert Capulong (Managing Director, Agemono Grill Restaurant LLC and Chairman of LFBE), and Chaida Ortil-Das (Owner, Panadero)
Lastly, on the second day, Filipino Social Club also had their own segment. The Filipino Social Club Members held a Philippine Independence Day Press Conference, 2nd accreditation of FilSoc organizations, and a MoU signing between The Filipino Times and Filipino Social Club.
The participation of these Filipino communities showed their strong commitment to collaboration especially with their fellow overseas Filipinos. This collective effort not only highlighted the unity of the Filipino community in the United Arab Emirates but also their desire to contribute to growth and success.
