This growth signifies the increasing confidence in the Philippine economy. I commend the NPM Group for organizing this event, which brings together leading developers from the Philippines to encourage investment from Filipino and foreign investors.”
“The 10th PPIE marks the steadfast dedication and commitment to serving the needs of OFWs and promoting Philippine real estate overseas. May the PPIE continue to be a beacon of opportunity and empowerment for OFWs, enabling them to achieve their dreams of property ownership and financial security in the Philippines,” he added.
Hon. Marford Angeles, Consul General of the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Northern Emirates, also welcomed the crowd to the PPIE 2024 on its second day. In his speech, Consul General Angeles touched on how the flourishing real estate industry of the country is spreading to regional areas.
“Our nation offers many investment opportunities, from luxurious residential properties to commercial developments,” Consul General Angeles said. “These prospects are not just limited to the major cities. They are also expanding into regional hubs across the archipelago, making now an opportune time to invest in Philippine real estate.”
“I encourage everyone to explore the possibilities and leverage the insights gained from today’s exhibition to make informed investment decisions. Let us capitalize on the positive momentum in our real estate market to foster individual prosperity and broader economic growth for our communities,” he added.
#InvestPilipinas #InvestPPIE
One of the highlights of the PPIE 2024 was the exciting launch of #investPilipinas, #investPPIE campaign.
The global campaign, which was launched by Dr. Remo, aims to empower OFWs and their families in the Philippines. It helps all Filipinos to make sound investment choices and prepare for a better and more secure future.
“For the last ten years, PPIE has been instrumental in shedding light on how to invest in these assets,” Dr. Remo said. “And to celebrate PPIE’s 10th year anniversary, we are launching a campaign #investPilipinas #investPPIE.”
Dr. Remo also said during the announcement that they aim to enhance everyone’s financial literacy, not just in the UAE but also in GCC countries. “PPIE will go global with the upcoming launch of PPIE in different parts of the world, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar,” Dr. Remo said.
“PPIE will also be going home to the Philippines to teach financial literacy not just to OFWs but also to their families back home,” she said.
MoU signing: Creating stronger Filipino ties
In a momentous occasion for the Filipino communities and groups in Dubai, numerous Filipino organizations and community leaders have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the New Perspective Media Group, the organizer of the Philippine Property and Investment Exhibition (PPIE), recognized as the Philippines’ premier international property and investment exposition, as well as the publisher of The Filipino Times, the largest free newspaper in the Middle East and a leading digital news platform catering to overseas Filipinos globally.
During the second day of the event, 27 Filipino business and professional organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NPM Group, promoting the very first #investPilipinas #investPPIE campaign.
Vince Ang, COO of NPM Group and General Manager of The Filipino Times, commented: “We, at New Perspective Media Group, take pride in putting Filipino stakeholders under one roof.”
“This extensive collaboration is a testament to our commitment to the community in celebrating the achievements of Filipinos, providing valuable information and up-to-date news,” he added.
PEIS returns for its second year at the 10th PPIE
The Philippine Economic and Investment Summit (PEIS) has also returned for its second edition at the 10th PPIE this year. PEIS offers great opportunities for both first-time and seasoned investors as well as those who want to learn more about investing in the Philippines.
This year’s PEIS offers more investment options for Filipinos and foreign investors who want to expand their portfolios. Attendees can participate in a wide variety of sessions and networking opportunities that delve into various sectors, including real estate and finance.
Investing secures the future
The two-day event also gathered all investors and aspiring ones to enhance financial literacy among OFWs. It featured numerous panel discussions, booths, and activities that catered to the specific needs and curiosities of the attendees.
Several attendees shared about their lack of knowledge in investments, which is why they are grateful for the PPIE 2024. Dubai-based Maria Laroga shared that it was her first time coming to such an event.
When asked why she mustered the courage to visit the event, she commented: “Actually, yung motivation ko is mga anak ko.” She explained that investments are important to give her kids a brighter future.
“As a parent, yun talaga ang responsibility namin na bigyan sila ng something na magagamit nila in the future,” she added.
Another first-timer attendee of the event, OFW Elaine Castillo, shared how she tried to start investing before but was not able to push through.
“Before, hindi ko natuloy yung investment namin sa Pinas kasi pumunta na kami sa Dubai,” she said.
When asked about her main motivator why she visited the exhibition, she said: “My main motivator is yung anak namin. Kailangan talagang mag-isip about sa future niya.”
